Jonathan Solomon

Jonathan was until 2019 a partner at international law firm Clifford Chance for 20 years specialising in major real estate development projects and real estate M&A transactions. He has been ranked sine 2008 in the legal directories as one of the leading individual in his field. Jonathan was head of the London and Global Real Estate practices at Clifford Chance and a member of the firm’s Executive Leadership Group.

Transactional experience includes:

  • 1.4bn sale of 5000-railway arch operating business;

  • Purchase of strategic land business, Gallagher Estates for major housing association;

  • Purchase of 50% of Broadgate Estate for a sovereign wealth fund;

  • Various major mixed use regeneration projects, including at Canary Wharf, Wood Wharf, Spitalfields Market and Bankside Quarter;

  • Various major HQ office projects; and

  • Certain super regional shopping centre projects (including at Brent Cross and Croydon).

Jonathan moved client side in 2019 and is now working on a number of projects, including at Oxpens and on a mixed use development for Coin Street Community Builders. He also has a number of charitable roles. Jonathan has been married to his wife Pat for 30 years, has 3 children and is a keen cyclist and dog lover.
